Castelo de Vide

In the interior of High Alentejo,Portugal, there´s a village where the silence is king. That village is Castelo de Vide. The beautiful gardens, the forest, the nice people, the food and the wine are some of the ingredients that Castelo de Vide offers to the visitants.There, you can rent a bike to get around, or you can walk around in the small streets searching for the many interesting places. Only a few kilometres from Spain, Castelo de Vide is a good place for you to visit, and once you go there, you should also get to Marvão, a beautiful little village surrounded by the halls of the medieval castle.

Alte

Alte is a small village in the heart of Algarve, in the south of Portugal. 20 minutes from the best beaches in Europe, Alte can be considered like a fresh breeze in a urban jungle that is Algarve.
The main attraction in this small village is the small river that crosses all the village. The clean fresh water from Serra do Caldeirão where you can take a dive in the hotter days are like an oasis in a desert. Along its shore, people make some picnics in the shade, listening to the sound of the river, birds, and the wind in the trees around them.
Alte is considered the most typical of the small villages in the Algarve and one of the most typical in Portugal.
Good people, good food, nice weather, clean environment and silence are all the things you can find here.
If you are on holidays in the south of Portugal or Spain, and if you want a break from the beach, then Alte should be a MUST VISIT to you.
